Improve Family livelihood first, before you demand for a university- Museven tells Banyoro.


President Museven who is also the NRM presidential candidate flag bearer has castigated Banyoro for demanding a public university when the regions’ livelihood is still poor.

Museven Made the statement while responding to the Bunyoro leaders’ demand to the NRM government of a Public university like other regions during the meeting of NRM leaders with Museven from Hoima, Masindi ,kikube ,Bulisa and kiryandongo districts in his presidential campaign trail at Duhaga secondary school playground Hoima.

The vice chairperson NRM for western region Chris Byaryomunsi told the president that Bunyoro region has a problem of land grabbing and a public university which need agent address since it has been long overdue.

The former NUP Bunyoro region coordinator who recently defected to NRM Godwin Angalia also told Musiven that Bunyoro as a region badly need a public university and compensation of people who lost their land to Tilenga oil projects.

In response to the issue of Bunyoro university the president asked the people of Bunyoro to first think on improving the family livelihoods for the people of Bunyoro, peace,
Infrastructure and the university come last since the people’s livelihood in the region is still very low.

He finely asks the people of Bunyoro to provide him with 400 acres of land in Hoima for setting up a university since they rejected Kigumba petroleum institute which he had wanted to turn into a university for the region.
