Kitara Fc Storms Quarter Finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup Tournament.


Kitara FC has progressed to the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda cup tournament.

This evening, Kitara FC defeated Tooro United FC by 2-1 in a stanbic Uganda cup round of 16 fixture that was played at St Paul seminary playground in Kabarole district.

Kitara FC’s goals were scored by captain Maxwell Kamurali and Patrick Abigaba.

On the road to Quarter finals, Kitara FC eliminated Six o’clock FC in the Stanbic Uganda cup round of 64 with a 4-2 win in post match penalties after the two teams drew 1-1 in normal time.

Last month, Kitara FC eliminated Luwero United FC in the stanbic Uganda cup round of 32.


In the 2014/2015 season, Kitara FC competed in the Uganda Cup and reached the round of 32 after losing on post-match penalties away to Uganda league side, Police FC at Kavumba ground.

In the same year, Kitara FC earlier eliminated record champions Express FC in the round of 64 at Hoima Booma ground.

In the 2015/2016 season, Kitara FC defeated Mulago Old Timers FC in the round of 64 of the Uganda Cup and went on to eliminate Express FC for the second year running in the round of 32 to qualify for the round of 16.
Kitara FC lost to the eventual champions Vipers SC.

In 2017, Kitara FC reached the quarter finalis in the Stanbic Uganda cup after losing 1-0 to KCCA FC, the eventual winner of the tournament.

In 2018, Kitara FC reached the round of 16 in the Uganda Cup tournament.

Last year, Kitara FC reached the round of 16 in the Uganda cup tournament where it lost 1-0 to Kyetume FC.
