PLE Supervisors and invigilators left unpaid after exams in Buliisa district


At least 20 supervisors and 72 invigilators were yesterday evening seen stranded in 20 different Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) sitting areas in Buliisa district.

This followed after being unpaid at the end of PLE Examination session since they agreed in the meeting to be paid this left the angry supervisors and invigilators stranded at respective sitting areas.

Mugisa James the Buliisa district Inspector of Schools confirmed the matter and said that the challenge was network failure and New system of withdrawing money.

He also adds that the money is to be received through Accountant General allowing them to pay the supervisors and invigilators.

We are sorry for the delay however once the money is withdrawn they will be paid as we agreed in the meeting, Mugisa James adds.

Chrizestom Kayise the Buliisa district Chief Administration Officer- CAO told our reporter that the above challenges would be soon resolved.

Chrizestom Kayise also says that the money will be withdrawn tomorrow Thursday and pay them on Friday. ” We are committed at paying them despite of all the challenge but by Friday all issues will have solved” He adds.

1,668 pupils sat for PLE exams in 20 sitting areas in Buliisa district.
