The director Faith Baptist Bible Institute (FBBI) Masindi also doubling as the director Christ Light Baptist Ministries Hoima has advised preachers to join theological institutions so as to teach Christians what’s right
While in his office Pr. Okecha Gilbert told Bunyoro Sqoop that the purpose of the institution is to train faithful, available and preachers thus have stabilized Christians.
Pr. Gilbert also said that many churches have been established by graduands since they are impacted with knowledge, however they are in process to register the institution with high council of Education.
Few people are concerned about joining theological institutions, the few who join them appreciate however as preachers this should be our first priority before establishing churches, added Pr. Gilbert.
Nyamahunge Rosemary,1992 FBBI graduand said, it was hectic for her to complete a diploma in theology since she had many responsibilities to play both at home and work place.
Rosemary also advised women to join theological institutions beside pastoring women can also be councilors and elders.
Currently Rosemary is a woman councilor at Faith Baptist Church Masindi and a secondary school teacher by profession.
Faith Baptist Bible Institute was established in 1991 by Missionary Tony Stark from United States of America, Tony is also the appropriator New Life Radio 96.2 Hoima.
Over 64 students at FBBI have graduated with a diploma in theology, 60 men and 4 women. 47 Ugandans, 9 South Sudanese, 1 Kenyan, 4 Rwandans, 2 Congolese and 1 American.
FBBI is one of earliest and leading theological institution in Western and Northern Uganda, currently with a population of more than thirty students from different countries pursuing diploma in theology.
